 Homeopathy: Delia Isaac

You are unique treat yourself that way; with Homeopathy

Because you are unique you deserve - and will benefit from - Homeopathy; Homeopathy treats you as a unique individual.

A patient can visit a Homeopath for the same reasons they would visit their GP. The Homeopath will take into consideration the emotional well-being of the patient and will often rank the emotional well-being as more significant than any presenting physical symptoms. Each patient is unique and their own experience of illness is of great importance and interest to the Homeopath.

Homeopaths prescribe substances - referred to as remedies - specifically selected and specifically prepared. The patient's specific set of symptoms are matched to remedies; making the prescription unique to the patient rather than simply treating a symptom.

How is Homeopathy different from other prescriptive based healthcare systems?

Homeopaths take into account:

  • Emotional symptoms;
  • Specific symptoms of the patient's illness;
  • Factors that aggravate or alleviate the patient's symptoms;
  • Trends of illness; of the patient and often their family history;
  • Triggers that caused specific symptoms or emotions;
  • Maintaining causes; factors that are capable of preventing the patient from recovering (emotional as well as physical).

For example:

Irritable Bowel Syndrome is a collection of digestive tract symptoms caused by emotional or physical disturbance. A Homeopath will delve into the specific symptoms experienced by the patient, including other - notable - physical symptoms. However, a Homeopath will also enquire into the emotional well-being of the patient, enquire about major life events, particular food aggravations or cravings, what causes the symptoms to worsen or alleviate and take a medical history.  In summary, the Homeopath builds a complete picture of the patient's unique experience of IBS; and only then will the qualified Homeopath prescribe.

What are the 'Remedies' that Homeopaths use?

Homeopaths - primarily - use plants and minerals, but do also use animal by-products such as milks and venoms. Each substance is carefully selected and is prepared to quality controlled conditions to produce the finest quality remedies. Remedies should only be prescribed by qualified Homeopaths who understand their usage, and dosage.

If you are vegan, or have faith or lifestyle constraints that prevent you from consuming any animal based products please inform your Homeopath; alternatives are often available.

Because Homeopathy is so different from other prescriptive based healthcare systems, it is both unique in itself, but also difficult to accept and understand. Homeopathy is capable of achieving profound results, but only when prescribed by a qualified Homeopath.

Homeopathy offers a gentle and subtle return to good health and is very useful for many health conditions:
